Labor Day

Aren't we such a cute family?!
Hayden and Mom waiting for Dad to come off of the Donut.
Can you see Brent?
Hayden is in there somewhere?
Today is Labor Day and Brent has the day off, yea! Brent woke up at 6:30 wondering if it was raining. Yesterday we had a big rain storm and when we went to bed is was raining. We love the rain. We opened up the windows so we could hear the rain and smell it. It is wonderful. Anyway Brent was so excited when he woke up because it wasn’t raining anymore. Every labor day we usually go on a hike with his family. Nobody in his family wanted to go because the weather prediction said there was a big storm coming our way. Brent wanted to still go on a hike. I was skeptical about it because Hayden still had a slight cold and I did not want him to get more sick. Brent called his Dad and the rest of the family to see if they wanted to go and the only one who wanted to go was his Dad. So we called my sister Steph and her son Brandon and they came too. We drove up to Big Cottonwood Canyon and hiked up to Donut Falls. The hike was great. It was not too cold and most of all it was not raining. We made it to the river and Steph, Hayden and I stayed behind because we did not want to get we in the river. The boys hiked up to the donut. When they got down we started hiking back down and all of the sudden a big huge grey storm cloud covered our heads. Then within seconds it started to rain hard and then it started to hail. We ran down the mountain as fast as we could. We had Hayden covered with a blanket and Brent’s sweatshirt. The only thing that got wet on Hayden was the sweatshirt and he slept the whole time.
